Hey!

I stopped by to say I hope all of you trying to submit ideas for comics are doing well and although my taste is different in comic books, that each of you have some kind of success in the New Year especially Zeros 2 Heroes.

We need more small comic companies to fill the growing void of frustrated fans who feel abandoned. I read some of the responses to Marvel's wonderful de

Advice Needed: Blake Undying - Chapter Two

I have been writing Chapter Two of Blake Undying recently, and as often happens when writing, priorities change leaving hard decisions to be made. I have all but the last three pages written out. I had intended this chapter to end with Blake rescuing a child from a tenement fire, and chastising the mother for leaving the building without her child. Essentially a scenario you

super-heroine: The Lioness

I've mailed in my first entry for the Newsarama "Who Wants To Create A Super-Heroine?" contest. (I have one more that I'm working on) They said they wanted a character to counter-balance the Bomb Queen so I thought of other female archetypes that might fit into the Shadowline Universe. 'Mother' is one archetype that's underexplored in super-hero comics, so I built

More Excerpts from Love and Embalming Fluid

I just wanted everyone to know that i feel horrably guilty for not getting any script pages done, or even, let's be honest here, started. However, for you're continued enjoyment, here is another bit from the prose version. This is Elliot's first meeting with Sharry 'the Shark' Malone following Faith's elopement with her lover and and truly outlandish faking of her own de

Age of Heroes:changes in the world

As I have said before I came up with this concept strictly for ccn. As such Age of Heroes is still young in its evolution. As such things change. When I originally concieved this story it was with the idea of cramming it all into 22 pages. I wasn't even finished the synopsis before I realised that wasn't going to happen. I still felt I could contain the original story a

Comics are entering a time of watered down seen it befores. The mainstrem media only excepts certain ideas from our passion, and even then when those exceptions are allowed in, they are twisted and contorted into the unrecognizable. The future of our medium will rely on the joint efforts of the independent, and some mainstrem companies inorder to save what we love we all have to think not only out

Well I'm an aspiring author (I think) and I have to finish my first book before I can move on to the other 16 ideas i have piled up. So that last part sucks. But i really enjoy writing and drawing in my spare time. My uncle recomended this site to me, so I took up his offer.
