Okay, for most of my blogs on this site I've usually stated my opinions in one topic or another, trying to form a logical argument and provoke discussion.

But as a fledgling writer, I'm not entirely sure how I should proceed with some of my ideas. I don't really know how to make a pitch or even how to get an artist to work with.

Updated: Blake Undying - Thanatos and The Nippler!

In the wake of The Nippler controversy, I figured I might as well add him as a full fledged character in the pitch as the supervillains in Blake's life are going to be just as important as his friends and associates. If I rated your pitch on Nov. 29 and my comments seem particularily pointed I am SORRY. It wasn't until(at which time it was to late to un-comment them) the third or fourth pitch(in a row) that barely had an idea in them that I realised my comments were being a scooch harsh(maybe).

Although I warned it is a hideous piece of anything, several people I know are interested in seeing it. Motivations

With Castra I wanted to create the kind of dark, cyberpunky city seen in Batman Begins, Blade Runner, Akira and DMZ. I want to create a dense and rich world where motivations are complex. Bad guys will be sympathetic and good guys will have their rougher edges.

Additions to Age of Heroes pitch

Have added visual to character descrip for Price(the foreshortening of his leg needs some work but it is just a sketch). Now I could add some synopses of where the series would go after first 22 pages like some others have done, but as far as changing/editing what is there, without more feedback I will leave it alone for awhile until I think of something myself. Unless everybody wants to go have apeek, leave a note, whatever. Full script can be found in blogs.

My wife's birthday just passed, and I spent a lot of time and energy preparing for it. It went off without a hitch, she's a happy lady! The recent blog post about killing characters got me thinking... Should we advertise major death's in our own pitches? Myself, I've personally neglected to mention a major death because the truth is I don't feel like spoiling the experience of the story. I'd much rather blindside the reader with a sudden, unexpected death so that they feel everything full-force. I think that if they go in half expecting it, it's just not as powerful.

Whenever I write, I almost always have music playing. I get most of my ideas by listening to music. As such, the longer I work with an idea, the larger the soundtrack becomes. I really wish I could upload the actual tracks here, but I do believe that might be illegal. So instead I'll just give you a track listing and you can seek out the music through totally legal means (ahaha).

Those I deem Highly Recommended are the ones I think are really worth the effort of finding.
