Alright, so when I set to do this review I mistyped the address (http://www.rentathug.com/) of the webcomic and discovered a site where you can actually rent a real life thug; or a gangster if you will. This isn't fo

So initially I had mentioned a couple of topics I wanted to write about on the subject of underground comics. One that I think about often is how to make the best of your comic convention as a guy or gal who produces underground comics. I have been watching and attending and have learnt a thing or two about this, thus helping to improve the overall image of Vicious Ambitious Comics

This being my first review on Z2H and my first ever review of a webcomic there are some things I must make clear before diving into this. I don't often read online comics. It isn't so much that I don't like them, as I see their place in the world of blowing open the underground comic scene, or at least creating a new sort of underground comics scene not defined by the geograp

A useful tool in marketing your own underground comics, I have found, is the review. I have had my stuff reviewed by Silver Bullet as well as the talented Andrew Foley (Parting Ways, Done to Death) and have found using quotes from such reviews helps to push the comics.

So I thought, as I am proclaiming myself as a bit of an authority on underground comics I thought I should start reviewi

Okay, so I have been reading a blog on here by username Lotus which has a simular theme to what mine has, and that is the exploration of underground comics. It seems he is having a bit of troubles articulating exactly what he is talking about when it comes to underground and has even gone as far as musing that MAD Magazine (the one published by Time Warner) could be considered underground. I do

Okay, it was my hopes to post my stuff for you from previous years, but I have to appologize because I don't have the patience for 48 pages worth of art to load up, and if this Z2H really is a talent search of sorts it probably isn't that good of an idea anyways as my 24 hour comics are not a great gauge of my abilities. Other than I can stay up for 2 some hours and fart our a comic.

Pre 24 Hour Comic Madness

So tomorrow us "undergrounders" go to 24 hour comic day where we sweat out 24 pages of material in 24 hours. For us it is more than just a freakshow event, but rather it is almost a family reunion of sorts.

The first 24 hour comic day that I attended was in Calgary 2005. It was hosted by Comickazi and we had the second best turnout in the world. This event though was real

So, this will be my first blog entry ever and will pretty much set the tone for future entries on the Zeros to Heroes site. I introduce the general theme of the blog as being about Underground Comics. This is broad, I realize. While publishing these I have learnt a few things and have noticed many dynamics that play into the success of such an endeavor. I will discuss with you in t
