Just saw the Wachowski-film, Speed Racer, from the original Japanese cartoon some time ago (60s). The reviewers trashed the film, generally, the film-festished love the gooey graphics and the market didn't know what to do ($6 m on Friday which is low). Now onto moi --

In a totally non-silly, serious credible and thoughtful fanboy way, who do you think is the BEST VILLAIN in comic book history? Not the most powerful, not the most badass, not the most homicidal or demented.

So i've had a few mixed responses to my video game pitch SURVIVAL, about the exploitation of the gruesome, violent aspect of video game culture versus intuitive game play and design.

This, in part, i think was sparked by some of the images i posted of characters, in various torture contraptions or dire circumstances (see image below) to set the mood of the game.

Ever since joining Z2H I've gotten into reading a lot of my old comic books again. For diferent reasons this time, I'm mainly looking at different writer's techniques in how to setup panels, different writing styles for dialogue, etc. Don't get me wrong I still enjoy them immensely and find myself trying to find the next issue in a missing series to see

Let's face it, Hollywood has seriously run out of ideas and is desperatly trying to adapt any successful mediatic franchise they can get the rights to.  Putting aside video games (because we all know most if not all VG-inspired movies are plain awful), I'm curious to know what you guys think of comic book/graphic novels movie adaptations.
