This dashboard thing suddenly got really nifty. Anyway.
Since Reboot is in revisions right now, I'm going to go on about my own ideas. Because that's all the rage right now, it seems. So here's one of them.
Peccant
It's the story of a boy, Adrian. He's a 22 year old college student who became an orphan earlier in the year when his parents died on a trip. More recently, his girlfriend, Layla(name subject to change), has died in a car crash, leaving him in a pit of depression and nowhere to go for [season] break. It doesn't bother him, as he's more than happy to just wallow in his room most of the day, trying to figure out if she died because he had done something wrong.
On the first of the break, one dark day in his room, she came back to him. No, she was still dead, but she was there and that was nearly enough to break him. It takes time to calm him down, to make him realize that she's only a ghost with some unfinished business that she needs him to take care of.
In life, Layla had an alter ego as a demon hunter. It was her job to fight demons before they got to the general populace and fed on people and their souls. She did not have time in life to pick and properly train an apprentice and so decided that instead she would pass on the mantle to Adrian so that she could not only train him, but be with him a little longer despite being dead now.
And so he gains her powers and she guides him, teaching him about demons and how to fight them. Adrian picks it up quickly for her, though holds back out of fear of doing too well and having her leave him. He messes up intentionally and forgets things he knows and does just about anything to show he's not quite ready for her to leave him yet.
All is not completely well, however. As demons use the bodies of humans to come onto their plane, there is a strange trail of bodies left behind after his fights and people are getting suspicious of these strange murders. Rumours of a murderer moving into campus is making people paranoid and it's getting harder to move around.
And there's the other side of the story which is full of delightful spoilers which I'm not telling. Next post: A review of the site! Because I might actually be done the list by then...

In fact you should see a steady stream of neat new functionality on this site for writers and artists dribbling out between now and the end of August. Thanks for your patience with us! Its hard to believe we've been live only two weeks... we appreciate all of you helping us work out the kinks and sharing your ideas on how to make the site better for everyone!
