Okay, for most of my blogs on this site I've usually stated my opinions in one topic or another, trying to form a logical argument and provoke discussion.
But as a fledgling writer, I'm not entirely sure how I should proceed with some of my ideas. I don't really know how to make a pitch or even how to get an artist to work with.
For the most part my experience with artists is very limited and usually ends in making arrangements that are never seen to the end. In no way do I condemn them as a whole but I find it an intimidating experience to make a pitch to one I don't already know.
As a result I got an idea for writing a comic but without images. Instead the idea is that the text is framed in panels and told in a first person narrative with dialogue in word ballons. Personally I think if I do it right, it would be an interesting way of presenting text in a way that is easy to assimilate by any reader. I've neglected putting it up on the website for fear of the idea being stolen.
This is different from the pitch I have on this website which does require an artist, but I have no idea what the proper way is to ask one to work on a comic or even how to attract one to my project.
So any suggestions?

Well, this blog post is a pretty good start! There is also an area over in the forums just for artists. You might be able to ask around there. Just let them know what kind of story it is and what style you want it done in.
