Hey everyone,

it is time to redesign the blogs to make things easy for you. But first! a couple questions.

What is broken?

What is working?

What do you want?

Editing your posts would be handy. Many's the time I've had to look at my spelling mistakes, mocking me with they're uglyness ond rongness

Yeah, editing posts is a must. The quirk with quotation marks causing the post to be 'too short' needs to be fixed. In fact, the 'too short' message should be banished all together, if possible.

This if off topic, Ryan, but it's on my mind. Are there any plans to fix the ratings bugs with the art galleries? There are a good portion of galleries (usually when they're first posted) that I can't rate or comment on. Perhaps worse, though, is the fact that my "hero" and "fanboy" ratings are often turned into "fanboys" and "mehs" (and I've seen other people complain about this in the comments section of various galleries). Sorry for talking galleries in your blog blog.

Hey there- some galleries are unrateable (is that a word?) because the creator hasn't set their gallery to "public" (if a gallery isn't set to "public" the work cannot be rated or commented on.) So if you see that in the future and you wanna leave a comment, just send a pm to the artist and ask them to set their gallery to public!

If we could somehow get guest posters to leave an email addy that would be good. Just as a flame-retardant measure.

Oh, I didn't know that. I kind of figured if we can see it, then it's public. Thanks for the explanation.

I'd like to be able to see the stats on individual blogs not just a grand total (though the grand total is cool, too). It would be cool if we could put in bold, italics, pictures, etc. when replying to blogs as well as when writing them. Can we get a bigger size for photos on blogs than 200K? Other than that I like them and think for the most part they work well.

The ability to preview your blog post, as it would look on the site, before actually /publishing/ it, would be ace. More 'pie in the sky', but the ability to drag and drop links from pitches/galleries (either your own, or those in your collection) or previous blog entries would also rock the casbah. Even being able to select a link from a dropdown list of commonly-used bookmarks would be preferable to the constant 'Ctrl-c, Ctrl-v' that comes with shameless self-promotion. =) I also wish the tag cloud would make a comeback. Maybe it got unwieldly, but I kinda miss it.

The tags are seriously out of control. I'd lock those down to a set category, and an admin could add more as new stuff became available. Every nonsensical thing that springs to mind can become a tag, and it makes the entire thing really obnoxious. Preview would be grand. The image insert tool is seriously a pain in the neck. Couldn't we just link pics? Uploading them all, manually resizing them, aligning, etc., is really painful. Alter the feed on the user page to be able see who commented on what blog post, and link to it. Like, drop-down menu that says "See Blog Updates" or something? Blog Watch list. That's mean, but I don't need to read every single user's blog if I don't feel like it. I should be able, with a click of a button, to be able to see a preferred list of bloggers' entries should I want to avoid browsing through pages and pages of new blog posts. "Too Short" is a pain, too. Just I bug, for sure, but an annoying one. And finally, have Christopher Walken wave a big stick at us when we post blatant grammatical errors. But that'd be icing on the cake at this point.
