Do you play with dolls? Err, I mean Action Figures? I don't precisely play with them, though I do have a few. Mostly X-Men figures and lots of Spawn stuff, but others as well. Two key questions for you today: first, do you have any doll - I mean Action Figures, and if so which ones? Secondly, do you keep them wrapped up safely or do you take them out and play with them?

To answer the second question first, I do not take them out of their packages - my son does that for me. I have managed to save a few, however, in the hopes they might be worth something some day. My favorites, in addition to the ones shown below are Ghost, Harley Quinn, Clown from the first Series and some very early TMNT figures.

The photos I have selected this time are all from the Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars line. The first is of our good friend, Doctor Otto Octavius.

The second image, curiously enough, is of Baron Zemo, a villain who does not even appear in the series. And no, I don't really know why.

Finally, my pride and joy, the first action figure of Wolverine. Not the best one ever done, but it can never be replaced as the original.

So what dolls are hiding in your closet?

Thanks, also to genrewriter for resizing the photos for me :)

I have a fair amount of original Star Wars action figures, but they're all open and used, properly enjoyed and played with when I was a kid. And I look forward to passing them on to my sons soon.

I just checked ebay and there's a buy it now price of $65 for your Wolverine (in package). There's also a black costume Spidey for $200. I had a snot load of GI Joes with tons of vehicles (VAMP, APC, MOBAT, Skystriker, Dragonfly, Rattler, etc). They're all gone. Now I play tabletop wargames, which has been described as "playing with dolls" as well. There's just more of them. And dice are involved for that extra GEEK flavor. GEEEEEEEEK! Man, I love being weird.

Hey hey, no yer speakin my language! action figures kick ass. I've got tons. actually my cubicle right now has 10 action figures in it such as iron man, kratos, leonidas and terrance and phillip. I rarely keep them in their packages cause i just cant keep my hands off posing them and looking at em from every angle. I collect to show em off, not to invest. there toys! play with em! BTW, nice collection man, got some real valuable ones there

I used to have all the TMNT as a kid and I played with them all the time (I looked something like the little girl in the pink dress playing with her TMNT and the pizza lucher truck thing, I know it's an odd mental picture!) I've only started buying/collecting action figures again two years ago because of my obsession with Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I do however take them out of their cases and display them, but I don't play with them. Other items in my collection include some of the McFarlane horror action figures and any other film/TV characters that I particularly like. :)

I only have an Edgar Allen Poe action figure complete with shoulder sitting Raven. I'm looking for a matching Shakespeare at least.

I have a ton of Star Wars and GI Joes. The survivors still reside at my parents home. When I was 12-14 I got into pyrotechniques(of my own design) so their wasn't quite as many as there was awhile ago. At the peek of my action figure days I had about 300 but last time I looked I think there were only about 60 and some of them were rebuilds that I put together using body parts from destroyed ones(I actually got really good at fixing them). Reduce, Recycle, Reuse.

Ivy - I'm confused. You looked like a "pizza lurcher truck thing"? I hope you've outgrown the look!

I was always more interested in the spaceships/aircraft than the actual figures themselves, save for their role as pilots of said vehicles. Probably my favorite one was the massive Cobra Nightraven which looked like a fighter variant (read: cooler looking) of a SR-71.

It always reminded me of Firefox (from the Clint Eastwood movie of the same name). Man, I loved that plave - it's the only I wanted that I never got. I want to get back into legos. Have you guys seen the crazy junk they're building with legos these days? Amazing.
