This being my first review on Z2H and my first ever review of a webcomic there are some things I must make clear before diving into this. I don't often read online comics. It isn't so much that I don't like them, as I see their place in the world of blowing open the underground comic scene, or at least creating a new sort of underground comics scene not defined by the geographical location but rather by the host sites they exist on. My biggest thing about online comics is that I spend much of my day on the computer, and coming home to enjoy another comic should not equate into spending more time on the computer.
However I am open to them. Very open and I want to learn to love them. The best thing going for them is that they are free. Glorious, glorious. The prices of comics have dropped exponentially in Canada due to a weak American dollar, but the comics still cost much for less than 10 minutes entertainment (on average). So, webcomics is a wonderful alternative.
But why should one review webcomics, after all they are free. You could simply click and read and find out for yourself if it is good or not. I guess though coming from my point of view, we are spending lots of time honing our craft with our countless projects as well as creating detailed pitches for Zeros to Heroes, so time is valuable. My job in reviewing these webcomics is to tell you if it is worth your time.
Depending on how many entries you have I will try to read all of them. If yours is a particularly long one, please give me the heads up because I don't want to give myself the luxury of procrastinating as I want to read the majority. And thanks to Mr. Irony for being the first to volunteer for the slab.
Sandwich World http://sandwichworld.webcomicspace.com/
Sandwich World has a pretty cool concept to it. It is a place where people make sandwiches for a living. The people who work there are who you'd expect; the manager, the lifer, the quirky female lead, the aggressive punk, the killer...onions...and a guy named Ted...who resembles Satan?
Ted was well underused throughout the duration of the strip. While his introduction (one of the earliest entries in the webcomic series) was a weak one and didn't own up to his majesty that would come, his presence was interesting throughout, but again very underused. I would have liked to see more of him. He had charm that I could attribute to the simplicity of his vocabulary for one as old as the ages. If you ever revisit Sandwich World I would encourage you to spend some time developing Ted.
I don't generally laugh out loud at stuff, most stuff I find corny and flat. I am not Emo, that is just how it is when it comes to comedy of any kind especially in mass entertainment. I do however find that cheese has its place in my refrigerator. The jokes found in Sandwich World would definitely fit into that compartment in the door. It was amusing enough to keep me reading. There was one laugh out loud moment present in what I would consider the high point of the run of the strip. It is in the entry "Revenge of the Sandwich". It has all the necessary parts for a good punch line including an almost introspective paced buildup. The art was stronger on this particular entry as well, which slowed me down enough to look at the detail of your sandwich contents (which I am sure you had lots of time to look at, judging by the subject matter I assume you are a sandwich veteran) which only helped that buildup to your punchline. The joke spoke to my working man sensibilities.
Sandwich World is strong in concept and has the potential to stick out from other "workplace" webcomics. It has some solid characters that deserve more attention and thank you for not being gentle with your content. Nothing is more boring than cute (although I did like the commercial done by your sis, I am a sucker for these kinds of ideas). Where Sandwich World falls short is in story development. In the preamble to reading the comic, it is warned that stories will run from one entry into the next. You seemed to set up a number of such plots but never developed them. Even when it was attempted in the major arc of the series, it was never really tied up.
Going back to my intro, the point of these reviews is to let people know if it is worth their time. So...
IS IT WORTH MY TIME?
Only if Mr. Irony continues on and ties up some of those loose plot threads hanging out and only if he develops his characters. His art got better throughout the series, especially when he dropped the color and I suspect it would only get better.

I think this is the first time I've had the comic seriously reviewed, and for a first-time review it's not bad! I'm not going to try to justify or defend any of the points you brought up, good or bad, since it's a review and not a debate. Most of what you said has been reflected in comments from friends and family, but you can't really trust friends and family to give you honest opinions of your work (especially your mom!). I am glad that the strip made you laugh out loud at one point. When I go through the archives from time to time I see something I'd forgotten about and suddenly remember why I did it and laugh out loud myself. I do plan on finishing it one day and bringing everything together. Where I am now in my life is much further along than where I was when I started the comic, so that will affect the tone, but hopefully I won't stray too much from the spirit. Sandwich World was always just a hobby, so I never lost my love of doing it. And yeah, Ted always was a fan-favorite. Thanks for doing an honest review!

Wow, nice job for a first time review. Going into subtleties of it and everything rather than just outright aesthetics. Very nice job. And I guess I'm going to have to check out the comic now too. Curses.

Hey thanks all, my main goal is to empower you if you are musing to do more. As far as the content I have to give props out to Andrew Foley whose Skewed Perspectives (on happyharborcomics.com) is the bar that has been set for reviews. Andrew has reviewed my stuff before and has always paid close attention and made sure that people knew he read it. AS FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE OUT THERE WITH COMICS ONLINE OR NOT, LET ME KNOW AND I WILL REVIEW THEM.

Wow - this is great! I'm going to give it a more serious read when I get home.
