If this were the setup for an "Amazing Karnak" bit, the (truly not funny) answer would be "Where Lord Maim has been for the last month." The end of May and early June has been a colossal disaster ofcoordination and circumstance surrounding my move. I have developed a complicated system of unpacking in order of annoyance, slowly clearing enough space in my apartment to move around. Even though the computer was the first thing that I had up and running, paradoxically I still haven't edited together the edition of The Gutter that was recorded over a month ago at this point. (I really have to find that box of software)

In my down time between moving or unpacking, my slack time has been entirely devoted to Mass Effect and Metal Gear Solid. Mass Effect is a must purchase for anyone who liked the style of Knights of the Old Republic but wished it were a little less Star Wars-y, or for those who simply enjoy science fiction. Not to seem like a BioWare fanboy or anything, but Mass Effect was a fantastic game from start to finish and actually rewards the user for multiple playthroughs. Very few games conquer my ADD long enough for me to finish them, and Mass Effect not only did so, but made me want to start a new game right away to try out a different class.

...And of course there was the recent launch of Metal Gear Solid 4, which anyone with any gaming experience will realize is like chocolate covered C4 with a creamy testosterone center. That's certainly responsible for some lost time (not to mention forcing the drastic recalibration of my Awesometer for all future games).

Aside from this a great deal of actual work is underway. Aside from a couple of "secret" projects on the go,  I've been busy re-vamping the concept of No Good Deed  (That is to say revising, not re-introducing vampires... which of course would indicate that at one point it had vampires and was subsequently de-vamped)  as well as picking up work again on my long time sci-fi RPG called APEX. Now that I am in posession of 4th Edition d20 SRDs, the long grind can truly begin.

Prior to its launch, I've decided to share some of the backstory here actually, just to build some momentum and get feedback on the convoluted setup for this project. Since it will be an independent e-release, I will certainly appreciate any input you might have.

In any case,  I'm glad the move is over with, and looking forward to getting back into the cannibalistic, kitten sacrificing world that is Zeros 2 Heroes

Cheers!

I was wondering what happened to you. I was about to set snares with kittens as bait...

MASS EFFECT RULEZZZ!!!! And you have been sorely missed! I was thinking about that just the other day. WHERE IS LORD MAIM?! I'm sorry to hear about your disaster and whatnot but am glad you've be able to play such wholesome games. :D Great for getting your storywriting juices flowing if you ask me. Either way, Welcome back! Hope to see more about you and can't wait for the launch of your comic series! When is that btw? I know it's pretty soon. :D It's so exciting!

So. It would appear my ninja-assassins failed. Well, I suppose some sort of congratulations is in order, I GUESS. Actually, I haven't played Mass Effect yet, but everyone is telling me I really should. You included. So I will! Eventually. Gads, I need less distractions. Good luck with the rest of the unpacking! Just this week I discovered some boxes I never unpacked about a year ago. As I write this, I still don't know what's in them! The excitement! PS: It's dishes.

Maim? Maim? Nope, does't ring any bells. Unless maybe he's related to that Lord Lame guy. You think?

Little does MrIrony know that those were the dishes that I bribed his ninja-assassins with, knowing that their one weakness was a nice china pattern...

Ah! Lord Maim. Wasn't he the guy that did that vampire story?

No, that was Naberius, I'm pretty sure. Remember, Maim was working on that pseudo samurai thing set in a sushi bar featuring cheerleaders and a goat.
