Zeros 2 Heroes - The People's Publisher

In your oppinion where do the five pitches stand, best to worst. 1 being the best and 5 being the worst. Here's mine

1. Arrival (awesome story and preserved the classic ReBoot)
2. The Last Guardian (Kept the original characters for the most part along with a cool conclusion to the hunt)
3. ReBoot 2.0 (Cool idea, definitely connected with pop culture very well, but didn't really preserve the classic essence of ReBoot)
4. The Last User (The concept art did indeed suck, not going to lie, but did you read the synopsis and story? They rock, not very much classic ReBoot essence but the story was amazing! Borderline suspense thriller if you ask me.)
5. ReBoot Regenerated (Cool characters, cool storyline but the classic ReBoot essence was almost completely scrapped)

in MY oppinion:

1. Reboot 2.0 (with redesigned Bob though)
2. Arrival
3-5 the others, i really didn't care for any of them really.

1. Arrival (it preserved the classic Reboot but honestly it almost seems like a rehash of season 3 and Daemon Rising put together)

2. Last Guardian (could have worked, but it doesn't make sense that Dot is married to Megabyte and they have a kid. If it had been Dot and Bob's kid and raised by Megabyte then I'd believe it more. Or maybe Dot dies, and Bob doesn't realize he's got a daughter and Megabyte raises her as his own. Or even if she isn't raised by Megabyte but is trained by Bob to be a superior guardian with her computer "Hack" or something instead of "Glitch". There's potential but again it treads to far from the character profiles and archetypes.)

3. ReBoot 2.0 (great idea associating the plagues of recent OS systems but the art is awful, character designs are WTF?!, and again its stretching as far as what ReBoot is.)

4. Regenerated (had lots of potential if only they had actually treated it as ReBoot. There are none of the same characters and it seems to have no association with the show)

5. Last User (awful character designs, plot is unrelated to what ReBoot is and just way out there)


It almost seems like Arrival was destined to win from the start since its the only one that remained true to the show.

presonally i feel the other pitches got mad at us fans and stopped working on the stuff when we started saying 'stop changing things!'

instead of listening to us like Arrival did, they just gave up or tried to plod on ahead without listening to us which eventually led to their downfall.

That could very well be true tompreston. It makes sense. Hence, Arrival was destined to come out ahead. And now the proof is in the pudding. It's clear that they should have listened to the fans more.

it makes me sad because Reboot 2.0 I think had the most interesting character development... if only they didn't make gorilla bob... sigh...

The winner will be chosen this weekend. There is still time to vote and change who the winner might be. Whomever is chosen though, I think the final product is going to be very interesting.

The Arrival's the only one I'm actually properly interested in.

when do we find out? I mean, do we have a TIME? I know we're gonna find out which pitch won today, but what about the artists? What time is this being announced at the convention? When will WE hear about it?

Sorry... just all aflutter and anxious as i'm sure everyone else is ^_^;

My favorite would have to be Arrival. I like the 'classic reboot' style and characters. Arrival is the only one that is actualy keeping this. They are also continuing with the cliffhanger. And the codemasters are neat characters to bring into the story.
I dont care much for the other ones because they have changed reboot to much, differant worlds, differant characters, and a differant feel.

xmenotux: I agree I didn't like the dotXmegabyte thing, and I'm glad that didn't win, but I can see how it could happen. Assuming the hunt still happened... Megabyte had Enzo and I'm betting Dot would have done anything not to lose her little brother again.

However I'm very very glad arrival won, I really like that one.
