I think a Klingon would be a great match for Blake. He'd enjoying killing him over and over again.

That Klingon doesn't look celebratory at all; more like downcast I'd say.

Wow... Blake turns 500!  Congrats Maim.

500!  Congratulations, though I'm baffled on how reaching 500 has apparently decreased your heat.

@ Asclepius: I'm baffled by lots of things heat related, but never mind that.  Five bills.  That's quite an accomplishment and well deserved.  You go, Jason!  This is just the beginning!

@Quantum: It's Maim's 500 - I'm just standing on the side of the road waving a flag. It's the flag of the Klingon Empire, but hey.

@Asclepius: We don't know how the heat meter works exactly. No one's telling us. There is some sort of method behind it, I'm sure. Maybe someone upstairs thinks that a culture of panic and uncertainty is a good motivator.

@LordMaim: You obviously don't understand Klingon emotional expressions. This Klingon is overjoyed at your success.

I'd be far more worried about a happy Klingon in public.  Likely means he's just offed some poor bloke and devoured his remains.

Nasty bit of whatsit, those Klingons.

Good point, Asclepius.  I still don't understand the whole 'heat' thing.  Five hundred Blake fans can't be wrong people!!
Congrats Maim, you're a truckload of awesome!

I'm not saying who's wrong or right, but the Heat is screwy as a goose is all I know. I actually managed to ADD fans [a feat! I broke 30! Congratulate me!] and I too somehow LOST heat.

Aww well! We'll hafta see what comes out in the wash.

I have a suspicion that somehow the heat is competitive, that is to say one comic gaining heat forces another's down.  Anyone else notice that Blake and Hero High almost always move up the same amount the other one moves down?

I dunno. I was prepping some Machiavellian strategy to pull into the top three at the finish line, but I really think there's a dartboard system dictating when the random 5-drops hit, and who they hit. So I'm not gonna sweat it too much! [Although this very thread, as little as it has to do with Blake, is technically adding to its heat. So there's that too. Tangential tagging aids the bottom line!]

Okay, so Hero High and Blake are both up today but rest assured that I'm not making this up.

I gave up trying to figure it out a cople of weeks ago. I'm sort of curious, but There were days when I would do things I thought would help my heat meter, and they didn't. The +5 / -5 bumps are a total mystery to me.

So rather than focus on specifics, I just went for a more general barrage approach, and just did anything and everything I could think of, whenever I had any time.

This is not an effort I would be able to keep up for much longer. I'm glad it's only a week left!
