are participating too ) for non spanish speakers, you just have to write your e-mail on the little box at upper right, and clic the button that says "Enviar mi voto!" (it means "send my vote!")

EDIT:
EDIT: EDIT: EDIT: EDIT:

url where you must vote is this one:
also, another 2 artists from Z2H are participating, Patricio Plaza and Santiago Bou. Here's the link to their works, you can vote them two (you can vote more than 1 work)

I think I'm going to discuss this page at length in a 'Moving With...' post in the near future. There are so many elements at play here that make it sing at a molecular level.

Take a moment...

Stewart illustrated Seaguy (also written by Morrison) and may be his best collaborator. Here's why:

I missed the 4th film in the series. It looked REALLY brutal, like, exploding heads brutal (not that there's anything wrong with horrifically comic violence...comics!)

Here's the synopsis for Rambo V: Savage Hunt. It seems to have Sci-Fi running through it's veins, unlike any installment in the series thus far (although, I'd argue that Rambo killing the entire Viet Cong and Russian military is kinda, sorta sc-fi)

John Rambo could track anyone - or anything - on earth. Now the military desperately needs him for a mission that his ultra-sensitive instincts tell him he should refuse. A beast is loose somewhere north of the Arctic Circle. It has already decimated a secret research facility and annihilated a squad of elite military guards. And the raging creature is headed south toward civilization, ready to wreak bloody devastation.

It's a job that Rambo and his 22-year-old hunting partner, Beau Brady, can't turn down, but they and a team of highly-skilled special forces kill team discover that the prey is a terror beyond their wildest imagination - a half-human abomination created by a renegade agency through a series of outlawed genetic experiments. It has man's cunning, a predator's savageness, and a prehistoric power that has transcended the ages. And even if Rambo and Beau survive its unrelenting hunger for human blood, they'll still have to confront the grim reality that it may have grown immortal.

Weird. Sounds like "Whiteout" without "Predator", and it also sounds like it's going to showing on the Sci-Fi channel right next to "Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus."

Not really comics Vol.42

Anyone who watches PBS knows that Bill Moyers is what the kids commonly refer to as "the shit". In the linked 2-part video, Bill sits down for an interview with David Simon.

Simon, for the uninitiated, is the creator/writer of the acclaimed HBO series 'The Wire'. Simon spent the better part of 20 years working as a police reporter with the Baltimore Sun, before going on to write several novels and tv series. Damn good writer, basically.

Please enjoy.

Today-ish (technically the sale was announced yesterday, but, well...)

You may or may not have heard news yesterday of the $4 billion purchase of Marvel by Disney.

Yeah, so, you're reaction might have been, in the immortal words of Alec Baldwin in the film State & Main, after having crashed his under-aged dates' station wagon in the middle of the titular intersection--- "Well, that happened"

Since there's a lot of information swirling about the tubes, I thought it prudent to defer to a more succinct aggregate of news.

Here.  Here. Here too.

Think of the potential for PIXAR/Marvel animated projects! Pixar did after all make the best Fantastic Four movie so far...hell, they made the best Watchmen movie.

Then...it's only a matter of time until mass cross-pollination begins to occur...

I pass it to you Heroes. What are YOUR thoughts on this epic merger?

Ok, from everything I've read, Disney will have to sit on its hands with the Florida theme parks and the film distribution for Marvel's currently slated release schedule through the Avengers in 2012....

Ellis. Bleeding Cool. Do Anything 013.

"---an important distinction, as DC's faux New York looked generic, but the likes of Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko could put real people in real clothes in a palpably real NYC that let imaginative kids dramatize their own landscapes with fantastic figures in real spaces and their own fields of vision) kept very separate creative stables."

Also this week, a recommend from me to you. Yes, yes, I'm completely in the tank for Warren Ellis. However, the graphic novella Frankenstein's Womb (pictured above) is a compelling post-modern tale of how stories are born. Really, very highly recommended.
