A beautiful read. And save a copy of it; if you're just getting down the craft of writing then some of this will make way more sense later on, and could put you years ahead if you read it carefully enough.

Juiceboy, 21:38 Wed Jun 25th, 2008
This interview was taken 12 days before the launch of the Celestial Endeavour on her maiden voyage of Deep Space Exploration. I, JuiceBoy, was granted an exclusive interview with the ship's Systems Engineer following her recent appointment.
Juice: Hi Kaley, thank you for taking the time to sit down with me today. I know you are very busy.
Kaley: Sure, it’s my pleasure.
Juice: So, I understand you have just been assigned Systems Engineer aboard the Celestial Endeavour. What will your role be on her maiden voyage?
Kaley: Well, I’ll be responsible for monitoring the main computer and ensuring everything on the ship is running smoothly. All systems feed into the main computer so they really need someone to be there to make sure everything is running... optimally.
Juice: Oh you mean to avoid something like a hard-drive crash or some bad memory?
Kaley: Umm, it’s a little more complicated than that, see the ship’s computer is a very sophisticated yet delicate piece of engineering and it requires constant monitoring to ensure that everything is running as it should. There are only a handful of people at Imperium that are qualified to operate it and I just happen to be the best fit for this mission.
Juice: Right, so it’s a big computer with a really big hard-drive. Ok, next question, have you always wanted to fly into space?
Kaley: Well, not really first. But then when I heard about this mission I just knew I had to get on that ship by any means necessary. It just became my one singular focus in life. So I trained, I studied, and then I trained some more and studied some more and now here I am. I plan on making a big impact on this voyage and leaving my mark when all is said and done.
Juice: Wow, that’s fantastic. Your parents must be so proud of you?
Kaley: Sadly, my parents died in a car accident when I was fourteen. From there I kind of just fell through the cracks of society for a few years bouncing from house to house. When things finally got stable for me I joined the Imperium’s Early Learning Program (a little late, but hey better late than never, right?) and with a lot of hardwork I caught up and here I am today. I think my teachers would be really proud of me.
Juice: Wow the Imperium Early Learning Program, that’s odd your record didn’t come up when I did a background check for this interview?
Kaley: Yeah, remember that fire a few years back in one of Imperium’s Records Facility’s? Well my file and was lost in that fire. Since I had already passed the age to be vaccinated for Pensinc-7 they just opened up a new file, by that time I had already been in the program for a year so it was no big deal, just a couple of medical tests down the drain… I just went in a few days later and re-took them.
Juice: Kaley, you raise an interesting point. What are your thoughts on the recent accidents at some of Imperium’s treatment centres? Is there an issue with safety here? Is Imperium cutting corners somewhere?
Kaley: Well, first-off. I think whatever it is, it’s horrible. But, from what I have seen, Imperium does not cut corners anywhere, we’re the type of company that measures ten times and then cuts once. We get it right the first time. And from everything I have heard, the explosion in Sydney was due to a faulty gas pipe in an adjacent building and the Earthquake in Halifax… I mean how do you even start to predict that?
Juice: Yeah, you’re right; I thought I might have a had a story there on poor safety practices. Well, Kaley I wish you the best of luck on this mission, a safe trip and I hope we speak with you again when you return. Make us proud.
Kaley: Oh, I’m sure I will.

There are the 13 participants of the second round of the now much-reviled, critically-acclaimed and incredibly creative Unofficial Think-Ups. And they have to pass their final test: the Live Interview!
Since I believe Jason will be transfering the entire responsibilities of the UT to whoever's in charge at the moment, I will begin this week to schedule interviews over Skype. If you have reviewed any or all (!!) of the pitches and wish to submit a question to the writer, please, do not hesitate to send me a PM, and I will include it in the session (and will quote you too!).
You can be as adoring, loving, tough or cannibalistic (my favorite!) as you wish to be with your authors.
So, who's up for it? Everyone has to go through it, so we might as well get to it while there's some CCN downtime ;)
