I think a number of different styles could work. I am writing in a sort of Alan Moore style, which means I often have lots of small frames and a number of important visual details -- this comes from my screenwriting background. And since I visualize a lot of Moore-type works, I sort of envision Dave Gibbons art.
The easy answer is if an artist wants to try his/her hand at a few panels or show me some artwork that he/she thinks might fit the motif, I'd be willing to look at it and discuss. -
