About:
Founded in June 2006, Zeros 2 Heroes is a Vancouver-based niche social media site targeting writers, artists and genre entertainment “fanboys” of all stripes. Z2H has made significant strides in marrying web 2.0 techniques with collaborative storytelling.
Objective:
Leading a movement to revolutionize how genre entertainment properties are developed, Zeros 2 Heroes gives its members a direct voice in shaping the future of the stories that matter most to them: either new ideas from undiscovered creators or longstanding cult favorites.

Comic Creation Nation is a campaign that uses innovative social media techniques to identify the next generation of storytellers.
Regardless of their experience with comic writing, aspiring screenwriters, wannabe novelists, playwrights and journalists can now submit new story ideas through Zeros2Heroes.com. The goal is to use the strength of their talent to take all of these undiscovered creators from “zero” to “hero.”
As the online community rates, reviews and refers these works, the creators will be able to polish their ideas based on real-time fan feedback. Each story concept selected as a "People's Choice" will go into production and be created as a professional digital comic book – the first major step in bringing the works of undiscovered writers to mainstream entertainment studios.
While films are an obvious area for future development, Z2H is targeting television, video games and print media.
Staff:
- Zeros 2 Heroes employs a team of eight full-time staff members, and contracts 30 writers, artists and editors from around the world.
- The company headquarters is located in a 3000 sq. ft. loft in Vancouver’s Gastown district.
Board of Directors:
- Chairman Paul Gertz (Current Executive VP of Rainmaker Animation and former Lucasfilm and Hanna-Barbera business affairs executive);
- Board Director and Editor-in-Chief of Comic Creation Nation, Paul Dini (producer and writer for several Warner Bros./DC Comics series, including Star Wars: Ewoks, Tiny Toon Adventures and Batman: The Animated Series)
- Board Director Dr. Greg Zeschuk (President and Co-Executive Producer at BioWare Corp - recently acquired by EA Sports.)
Partners:
Rainmaker Animation was the first corporate partner to draw on the power of the Zeros 2 Heroes community in their re-launch of the classic animated television series, ReBoot. A new ReBoot comic book property is now being developed and a trilogy of feature length films are being planned.
