Synopsis:

Amid the chaos of The Hunt the remaining forces of Guardian Collective launched one final attack to wrest control of Mainframe from Megabyte. In the ensuing destruction Megabyte escaped taking the captured Enzo with him.

To prevent this from ever happening again, Guardian Corporation was formed, consolidating and monopolizing antivirus security. Many of the old Guardians, including Bob, were forced to abandon their formatting when they refused to assimilate.

But when a team of open-source sprites band together to fight rogue viruses undetected by Guardian Corp., they discover Pathogen, a malicious omnimorph that mutates and evolves as it contaminates systems.

Team leader, Cache, reports their findings to Guardian officials who categorically deny Pathogen's existence. But when former Prime Guardian, Turbo, secretly warns the team of a probable connection between Pathogen, Guardian Corp. and Megabyte, they realize if they don't stop it no one will.

But do they have the code it takes?
