Z2H represents a great hope, that we can get a break, and break into the biz, and getting people's hopes up is always a tricky business.

That is probably the number one benefit of the Z2H experience, an audience of your peers who have a genuine interest in the material that you bring to the table. That enthusiasm is infectious to me, and inspires me to tackle the issues with a script head on, to consider unconventional channels of thought, to be excited about my own work.

I joined in mid September and I visited a couple of times a week until mid October. Now I am hooked and at least drop in for a few minutes practically every day. Sometimes I can only spend maybe fifteen or twenty minutes, on a rare good day I can be here a few hours. I always read the blogs, write back to some and have posted four of my own. I look at the forums but so far only to reply to posts. I read and rate some pitches every day and hope to have them all finished within a week. Of course then more will keep coming.

Thank you for taking some time to call. It's wonderful to hear an actual voice rather than emails every once in a while! I don't think I've ever worked for any company that calls me. They much prefer email, which I can also understand due to time constraints and such, but a human voice grabs your attention more than words on a screen!

Thanks for the feedback -- it's really appreciated.  I know what a lot of work it is to go through the number of submissions you guys must have received, and I wasn't expecting this at all.  This is great constructive criticism and I'll definitely work it into the rewrites.
