Zeros 2 Heroes is a niche social media site targeting the community of creators, producers and fans of genre entertainment.  Zeros 2 Heroes has made significant strides in marrying web 2.0 techniques with collaborative storytelling.  The end result is a constantly evolving online community geared to meet the needs of undiscovered writers and artists.

Rainmaker Animation was the first corporate partner to draw on the power of the Zeros 2 Heroes community in their re-launch of the classic animated television series, ReBoot. A new ReBoot comic book property is now being developed and a trilogy of feature length films are being planned. 

Recently, Zeros 2 Heroes has launched an initiative that is truly groundbreaking.  Using the power of our social network to submit, vet, qualify and create new comic properties by emerging artists, we intend to discover a new generation of storytellers and bring their works to an international audience.

We call this campaign Comic Creation Nation (CCN)

Today more than ever before, comic book properties are natural springboards into successful feature films, television series, animated films, or video games.  Comics have become much more than “men-in-tights” romps: as recent box office successes (A History of Violence, Ghost World, American Splendor and Road to Perdition) attest, they can also act as launch pads for thoughtful, provocative films.  And insightful graphic novels such as Maus, Safe Area Goradze and A Contract with God show that their potential as literary works is still largely untapped.

Comic Creation Nation is a campaign that uses innovative social media techniques to identify the next generation of storytellers.  Regardless of their experience with comic writing, aspiring screenwriters, wannabe novelists, playwrights and journalists can now submit new story ideas through Zeros2Heroes.com. The goal is to use the strength of their talent to take all of these undiscovered creators from “zero” to “hero.”

As the online community rates, reviews and refers these works, the creators will be able to polish their ideas based on real-time fan feedback. Each story concept selected as a "People's Choice" will go into production and be created as a professional digital comic book – the first major step in bringing the works of undiscovered writers to mainstream entertainment studios.

While films are an obvious area for future development, Z2H is targeting television, video games and print media. 

 Other nations celebrate comics as an important industry and indispensable cultural product: our goal is to turn Comic Creation Nation into a vehicle that identifies, celebrates and supports one new creator a week for one year… and possibly beyond.
