Classic ReBoot TV Series Reloaded by Zeros 2 Heroes Comic Book Community

Social networking site for comic fans teams with Rainmaker Animation to give undiscovered writers an opportunity to script retro ReBoot animated series into feature films

Vancouver, British Columbia (July 30, 2007) – Zeros 2 Heroes, the first online social network geared toward comic creators, producers and fans, announced today the launch of its first “ThinkUp” that gives community members the chance to shape the script for an updated film version of the classic TV series ReBoot.

The redevelopment of the vintage episodic series will be done exclusively on Zeros2Heroes.com, where members of the website have the exclusive opportunity to work with the animation artists at Rainmaker Animation to produce the new storyline. Members are even given the opportunity to submit their own fan art and go "head to head" with the professionals.

The ReBoot contest comes on the heels of Rainmaker Animation’s announcement that it will remake the groundbreaking animated TV series into a trilogy of feature-length films. Five undiscovered writers have been selected to work with Rainmaker to develop their individual story pitches for the trilogy. Each pitch will be posted to the Zeros 2 Heroes website (www.zeros2heroes.com) and fans will then vote to select the winning story. Once the winning script has been chosen, Zeros 2 Heroes will also staff production of the work by recruiting illustrators from its membership base.

“The idea is very simple: Provide an online environment that connects creators, producers and fans of comics and pop-culture, accord them the necessary tools for mass exposure and let them shine,” says Matt Toner, president of Zeros 2 Heroes Media, the Vancouver-based social media company, which offers thousands of users the unique ability to create, debate and approve fresh content on a daily basis. “The ReBoot contest is but the first of many opportunities our members will have to make their mark in the online comics creation process.”

Paul Gertz, Executive Vice President of Rainmaker Entertainment, adds, “We could think of no better way to re-engage and grow out the ReBoot fan base than to have the fans participate directly in the creation of the new storyline – something that our partnership with Zeros 2 Heroes Media enables us to do.”

Zeros 2 Heroes offers its members a platform to buy and sell comics, figurines and other collectibles, track down rides to local conventions and create new works that will be rated by the community and then promoted by Zeros 2 Heroes Media.

“We believe that the best genre entertainment properties – whether they are comics, movies, television series or games – are created when respect for the audience is the foremost consideration in the producer’s mind,” says Toner.
