Hitting the books with Gears
And as executive producer of the Gears franchise, keeping things on target is a big job. But Rod Fergusson wouldn’t have it any other way.
The Ottawa native is keeping himself busy at the Epic Games headquarters in Cary, North Carolina where the team is prepping for Gears of War 3, slated for a fall release.
Branching out the Gears IP to other platforms has been part of the studio’s activities in the last few years, which has not only extended the reach to a new audience, it also gives the hardcore fans another piece of the Gears pie. And since Fergusson noted that that the previous two titles boasted a high completion rate, there’s definitely a hunger for franchise fans.
