Writing For Videogames with Jeffrey Campbell
Writing for videogames is the dream of many geeks out there. I know I would love to try my hand at producing an interactive story.
Modern videogames have pushed the medium to the point that full-fledged stories can be completely realized. Having a good writer for a game is becoming increasingly important.
This week, Z2H has sat down with Jeffrey Campbell, NSI playWRITE alumni and Narrative Designer at Disney's Propaganda Games.
Z2H - Give a little introduction to yourself and your job. What's you background? Where did you go to school?
JC - I went to VFS for their 1-year writing program. Before that, I'd quit an English degree because I realized I already knew how to read. I'd always wanted to be a writer, even when I was very young. I have a children's book that I'd written in when I was about 5; it had the question "What do you want to be when you grow up?"
