Ever since she was a little girl, Carson McConnell (or “Kit”) has had one dream: to rule the world as a cruel and heartless dictator. In order to raise funds for her World Domination Campaign, she writes silly stories in the feeble hopes that they will get published. (Sure, it's not the soundest investment strategy, but it is slightly more legal.) Kit lives in Edmonton, Alberta, which isn’t quite the ends of the Earth but you can certainly see it from there.

Existence of life beyond this planet wasn't proven with a benevolent ship from the skies and the words, "We come in peace." The occupants of the pods aren't friendly, either; Sedna was a prison ship, filled to the brim with alien thieves, serial killers, customer service representatives gone postal, and other intergalactic scum. The only one who can round up all these fugitives is the ship's only surviving crewman, hiding out in the suburbs as a household pet... Subject Alpha.
