For a few years now, several of the world's greatest heroes have fought unitedly under the same banner as the Libery Trust (Or is Hero Alliance better?). Having great success against such supervillains as Eminence, his minions, the heads of Epicenter Foundation, and other terrorist organizations, they have all become household names. Of course, while "everyone" wants to be a member of the Trust, almost no new members have been take since its inception. Of course, The Amazing Tremor was an exception. With the extremely talented and dangerous Luke Bannon, the Liberty Trust solidified their position as the world's premier superhero team. Of course, a lot has changed since Luke joined the team two years ago. Not only has the leadership changed hands from "SharpShot" Clayton Gray to Luke "Captain Tremor" Bannon (he dropped "The Amazing" in favor of "Captain" not long after taking over in his leadership role), but Luke is also a newlywed. Marrying fellow crime fighter, Sindy Quinn, life couldn't be better for Luke. At least, until tradegy struck. (As covered in book 1 & 2) With "Samoan Warrior" (Raja Tafua) away visiting his sick father and Clayton Gray away on vacation, the team is already low on active members. Things only get worse when they are contacted about two separate disturbances both happening at the same time. Scrambling to correct both problems at once and with stopping Eminence being their primary objective, Luke splits the team up. Sending Hurricane, Lone Wolf, and Jamie "The Cloak" Sparks after Eminence, he and Sindy will handle the Epicenter thugs. Of course, things turn out as planned. He and Sindy have little trouble disbatching the thugs, freeing the hostages, and making their way to the bomb that has been set. Sindy disarms it and everything seems to be fine. Of course, that's when everything goes horribly wrong. Right as Sindy moves to kiss Luke for a job well done, the couple's dreams are shattered by two bullets that come streaking through the window and nail Sindy in the back. Falling into Luke's arms, Sindy Quinn is dead. The Grudge follows the story of Luke Bannon as he searches for answers as to the ones behind his wife's death and his wife's actual killer. In the wake of this tradegic event, the heroes are given little time to mourn as Eminence and his minions go into full swing. Knowing that Eminence is currently the Liberty Trust's number #1 priority and unwilling to wait for things to calm down, Luke breaks away from his group to hunt down the elusive Epicenter Foundation. The hunt is on and for a man with revenge, hate, and anger on his mind and heart, Luke is more dangerous than ever. Of course, little does he know what he's getting himself into. And the truth be told, the answers that Luke find might just shatter his own existence as we knows it. If the Epicenter Foundation wasn't behind murder, then who was? [A small Edit.. but just so everyone knows... they actually were not originally called the Epicenter Foundation. That was a later name. I just refer to the organization as the Epicenter Foundation because people who read The Forgotten stuff are probably familiar with the name. Sooner or later I will change everything over to reflect their current name at this time. |
