Temporary synopsis

Porters Town, one of the richest cities in the country. On the surface it shines like a jewel in the night. Beneath the surface is a seedy underbelly. Porters Town was founded, and still run, by organised crime. Unlike many other cities the crime here is actually organised and no law enforcement agency can touch them.

Jonah has tried, his whole life, to stay out of trouble. With varying degrees of success. When his brother Anthony is beaten and hospitalised, Jonah wants answers. Who is responsible? Why did they do it? How are they going to pay? Feeling that the police are inadequate, Jonah takes it upon himself to find the answers. A decision that leads him down a dark path into the under belly of the city. Asking the wrong questions can get you into a lot of trouble. Jonah has no idea. Learning of an underground fight club, most likely run by those who attacked his brother, Jonah decides to become a fighter in an attempt to get close to the ones responsible.

Although, it starts out as a simple revenge plot the base of the story is not actually revenge. In what is planned as 2 or 3 six issue miniseries, the story will become more about Jonah struggling to keep his normal life as he gets more and more entwined into the criminal element. As he rises through the ranks of the Pit Fighters it becomes more and more difficult for him to hold onto his quest for justice. Jonah begins to lose himself in this dark world. No longer looking for justice, he is just looking for a way out.
