Fridge Magnet Art (or TK Jr. wants some more magnets!)

So TK Jr. so much enjoyed his first foray into the creative world of Fridge Magnet Art (along with more prized CCCN magnets!) that he decided to do a Chapter Two. And just so you know where to give the credit he did this one entirely by himself (though I did take the pictures). That's right, written, titled, drawn, colored and magnetized by a nine year old. Pretty awesome, wot?
I know it's pretty small, so I have broken it down into panels.

Then comes the title: November's Gong.

Followed by Panel # 1. Knightcap on the Gong Show.

Panel # 2 features Moondog.

And then the final panel.

We hope you enjoyed it!

It's one week later and the heat meter is still pretty high. And I'm still here die hard fan that I am!

I have some real cool fan artwork to share with you all courtesy of TK Jr. with a little help from yours truly. This is without a doubt, the very first zeros2heroes CCCN winners fan appreciation fridge magnet artwork ever to appear in a blog...

TK Jr. wanted to do this because he thought it would be fun, and he likes so many of the comics on the site (those he is old enough to be allowed to read), but mostly because this should qualify as 3-D artwork and will win him even more of these coveted magnets. And by the way, I happen to know first hand that they have lots more, so let's get busy on this comic book artwork from the Z2H books, people! Hopefully, after you see how cool they look, everyone will want some! So without further ado, here are the ones TK Jr. has so far:

Cool, eh? You can guess which one is my favorite! :)
But showing you the magnets is not all TK Jr. had in mind, just check out the one page comic below done in the form of fridge magnet art:

And since we were unable to get Ed Brisson to letter this for us, here is what it says:
Panel One: Invasion of the Zeds starring (then you need to look at the magnets - see photo above)
Panel Two: the title
Panel Three: Moondog says "Blake is a threat to magnets! It's up to you to stop him Knightcap. Hit him with your fedora!"
Panel Four: Knightcap says, "
Once I knock him down it will be up to the sand monster."
Panel Five: The sand monster says "Aaarrghhh!" while Blake, who is being buried says, "Oh no!"
TK Jr. hopes you like it!

Congrats on the top four ranking.

Hero High is simply the best. The art is all stylized and sweet and the writing is fresh and a sweet carrot picked right out of the garden. I've got to go read it again.

Thanks!
Thanks!

If anyone has been following my blog since the beginning of Comic Creation Nation (way back to 2007 I believe), you'll know that I've been a HUGE fan of this franchise since the pitch. It's hugely entertaining and contains one thing that none of the other books has - a definite audience. If Hero High were ever to be animated into some sort of program I'd set the TiVo (or as we Canadians say, program the PVR). Dylan's creation from the very beginning had me hooked and it's been a great ride ever since.
I just dropped rotini on my keyboard because I am enjoying "Hero High: Origins" so much.

It is great fun to get the story serialized like this, and the format is a gas too. Reminiscent of waiting for adventure strips in the newspaper to resolve, week after week.
Plus, I can't wait to find out more about Viper once the Moondog arc is over (hint, hint).

Some of you might have heard that Z2H has fridge magnets available to be won for creating 3-D images of the comics on the site. Recently TK Jr. won some for his intrepid fan work on Blake Undying and Hero High written by quite possibly his second and third favorite authors on the site. Ahem. When his package arrived in the mail, imagine first the excitement as he discovered his Hero High fridge magnet safely tucked away in the envelope! Moondog looks outstanding between our bear magnet from Vancouver Island and the letter "L" courtesy of Petit Danone yogurt.
The excitement quickly turned to dismay when he discovered a rip in the envelope and evidence there may have been more magnets inside. An email to Jessica confirmed our worst fears: we had been robbed! And not only that, but Jessica informed us that at least one other magnet winner had wound up having their hard earned magnets stolen away.
I started thinking about who could be doing this. Who would be cold-hearted and nefarious to steal from young boys and adults pretending to be? Who would benefit from these ill-gotten gains?
I looked over some old blogs and the answer became obvious. You all know that Blake receives his powers of eternal life from magnets, right? So who else could it be? Blake has obviously quit or been fired from SycnGrove or whatever he calls that place he worked and gone to work for Canada Post.
Magnets of the world beware! Blake is after you.
I know you were all trying to kill him. Now, I'm begging you - somebody succeed. Quickly! We need our magnets.
Thank-you.
