This project aims to bring the experience of the Memorial to teenagers in North America. Many American teens today do not know the importance of the Holocaust today — only around 11% of teens are taught this in schools in the United States and many millennials believe erroneous data that two million or fewer Jewish peoples died during the genocide (Astor, 2018). This project aims to bring a deeper understanding of the genocide European Jews experienced during WWII and showcase the importance of it.

An underlying, secondary purpose of this experience is to highlight the rise of Neo-Nazism throughout the United States today. By showcasing the experiences of survivors and others who experienced the Holocaust, we hope to build empathy between the users and the subjects of the actual stories.
