Vancouver (Feb. 2, 2011) – Zeros 2 Heroes is proud to announce that their HD motion comic TV pilot, Animism: The Gods' Lake, has been nominated for an Interactive Award at this year's South by Southwest Interactive festival.
Animism: The Gods' Lake, is a multi-platform project that currently includes a TV series, a mobile application, an alternate reality game and a social network. The motion comic pilot, which is nominated in the Motion Graphics category, combines an anime inspired art with stylized cinematic effects to create a distinctively artistic look and feel.
The Interactive Award in Motion Graphics covers digital properties that contain animation, cartoons and other intriguing content built for a digital environment. Past winners in this category include We Chose the Moon (2010) and NVIDIA Speak Visual site (2009).
Zeros 2 Heroes Media produced the motion comic as an HD television pilot in partnership with Unlimited Digital Communications, an Aboriginal filmmaking studio. The series, which is set to air on the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network, follows the story of a young woman as she comes to realize the world around her is dangerously out of joint, and she must use her new found powers to right this unbalance and restore order.
