This year’s New York Comic Con will have a decidedly West Coast flavour, with Vancouver-based Dream Detective Media Properties unveiling their innovative “transmedia” detective story Are You Awake on October 8. Are You Awake is a film noir-style detective tale that unfolds across several mediums, including a smartphone application, a graphic novel, “mixed-reality” comic, original music, webisodes and a new fashion line. Only by experiencing all of these aspects of the story will all the details be revealed to readers.
